There are other ways to grow your business as an introvert that won't cause you undue stress! ⚡ I have 3 ways other than showing up live, on your stories, or in a way that feels inauthentic to you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I know that the thought of any live video or talking at a local event can cause you to have butterflies - so we will steer clear of those for now.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let's start with technology: 📲⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When using social media, you can use amazing graphics and use CTAs to help get your point across. Let your knowledge and authority shine!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Blogging + Guest Blogging: 💻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This allows you to share your authority from a space you created. Along with that is the idea of guest blogging which allows you to get your ideas and content on another supporting website. It can create a larger engagement opportunity that will lead back to networking or other opportunities later.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Podcasts: 🎙️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This ties in one-on-one networking and technology. It's a more intimate setting but on a global scale. You are able to share your 'freebies' or documents in the show notes to enhance your knowledge further.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Does the thought of networking give you anxiety? 😳⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Even at the beginning of my virtual assistant business, it was difficult for me to network and find clients. I have found it easier now with online marketing and other strategies - but as a fellow introvert it causes me anxiety to network too.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In-person networking is it's own beast and I still like to avoid it, but there are things we can do as introverts to make it easier on ourselves.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. Start with people you know.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With people you already know, it is easier to have courage to have conversations with them and for them to mention your services to anyone they know who might be looking to make a connection or get services from you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Always be yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are a bit quirky or awkward - own it and don't apologize for it! It is who YOU are and is a part of what makes you special. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Listen.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We aren't the ones that typically talk about ourselves anyway - so this is a superpower for us introverts! Having genuine interest and then talking when needed shows that you are paying attention + that your engaged in the conversation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you are super introverted, know that you don't have to go outside of your comfort zone. They aren't essential - online connections through the different marketing tactics you choose to use are just as good.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It's an important - if no the main - foundation in your business to help you become successful. ⚡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You aren't completely 100% in your business if you're burned out, stressed, and/or overwhelmed. I have found 4 ways that help me grow my business without sacrificing my mental health.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💻Keep client communication in one space/platform ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❌Turn notifications off on your phone ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📌Only respond to clients a few times a day ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📋Keep all of your lists and to-dos in one place/platform ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your mental health is important and you want to be your best self for your business - so set boundaries in these areas of your life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you're new here - I am not a morning person so that won't change. I may get up around 9 at the earliest on any given day and that works for me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My weekends used to be the exact SAME as my work week. Even pulling 60 hours or more each week. I do still work on my business from time to time on the weekends, but I don't do any client facing work. 👩‍💻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Burnout was the name of the game for me and that got super old! That's not a sustainable place to be when you are a service provider - better yet an introvert service provider.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now that we have moved into 2021, it's time to change how you're working. 🌱⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

That could include scaling, outsourcing, or growing your business. Make your mindset a priority this year so you can leave those long work weeks FAR behind you - where they should be.
