When you decide to take the plunge into the world of virtual assistance, it can be a very exciting thing! Working from home, being able to spend more time with your kids and financial freedom. They all sound like the things that dreams are made of, right?
Starting as a virtual assistant doesn’t cost much, but over time, you will find your expenses growing as the demand for your services increases, as well as your ongoing training and system requirements. It does add up, so I’m going to be completely transparent this month and show you a little look inside my monthly expense report for the current month.

All pricing is in CAD, but that comes out to about $796.86 per month.
This is why, and I can’t stress it enough, even if you are just starting out doing freelance work, make sure you are charging what you are worth. We might work from home, but our expenses can add up very quickly. This doesn’t even cover my one time expenses that happen throughout the year, or equipment costs, or paying myself a decent salary.
You are worth more then you are likely charging!
If someone doesn’t want to pay what you are worth, then they aren’t the client for you.
