Helping small business owners, virtual assistants, and creative entrepreneurs grow their business.
Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a multi-passionate business and marketing coach.
There are a number of myths surrounding creating and selling online courses that we need to start dispelling! If you think that you’re not quite ready or experienced enough to create an online course, then you’re not alone. As introverts, we often compare ourselves to those entrepreneurs in our space who we think are doing better than us and say that we’ll make our course when we are as established as they are. But, it turns out that you could be thinking about this backwards! We’re also often fed the notion that high-ticket pricing is the only way to sell your course – this couldn’t be further from the truth.

On the podcast today, we have Samantha King who is a former teacher turned course creator. She is a bit of a unicorn because she has the teaching experience, the sales and marketing experience and the natural strategist skill set to help you actually get where you want to go without exhausting yourself to get there. Frustrated with an industry where everyone wants you to pay them to learn how to create the course BUT no one is talking about how to sell the course you make, she brings together course creators with small audiences to sell more courses with leads generated by borrowing other people’s audience. Samantha thinks in TV and movie lines, GIFs and memes are her love language and graphic t-shirts are her suit of armor.
In this episode, Samantha and I dive into:
How creating a course can help generate one-to-one leads
What to do if you feel like you aren’t enough of an expert to create a course
The trick to getting your course content recorded
Why you don’t need to charge high-ticket prices to have a successful course
