Helping small business owners, virtual assistants, and creative entrepreneurs grow their business.
Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a multi-passionate business and marketing coach.
Content creation for entrepreneurs has never been more challenging with the pressure to always keep writing, showing up, and the algorithm’s push for videos. However, as someone who has been creating content for my clients and for my own business for 15 years, I learned these tips and tricks that made my process more manageable.
Ready to make content creation a little easier? Keep reading!
There have only been a handful of times when I could come up with content ideas while on my desk working. Ninety-nine percent of the time, my (greatest) ideas come to me while taking a walk, doing chores, reading, etc. a.k.a. when I’m not “forced” to come up with ideas.
You might be the same.
Having a small notebook with you at all times or a file in your notes app with ideas that come to you in these random moments will give you the boost you need to start creating. You don’t even need to come up with a whole draft. You can simply jot down the idea that came to you, keep it away, and then just look at it once you’re on your desk. This way, you already know what to create when working; you don’t need to force yourself to come up with ideas on the spot.
The fastest way to creative burnout is to keep creating content you don’t want.
If video is not your thing, you don’t have to click “record” on the camera.
If you can’t stand to write long blog posts, you can hire someone to repurpose your video/audio content so you can still land on page one on Google (which is great for sustainable, evergreen content).
Eliminate and delegate tasks to focus on the actual things that you’re a pro in.
At the same time, take a look at your analytics and put out polls/surveys to see what your audience would like to see more from you. In this way, you don’t even have to come up with ideas all the time when your audience is literally giving them to you.
Repurposing is the new “in” thing to do today in the online industry as more entrepreneurs see its benefits. However, some entrepreneurs are still wary of adding this to their content strategy as they don’t want their audience to notice that they have been publishing the same content.
When done right, your audience won’t even notice it. Even if they notice it, they will thank you for it as you have taken the same information from before but presented it in a different perspective.
You can transform old blog posts, social media posts, podcasts, and video content into checklists, workbooks, infographics, and more. The possibilities are endless!
Ever bought a Canva template you forgot to use? Bring them out of the dust, set aside them to apply your branding on them, and use them the next time you need graphics.
Aside from Canva graphics, there are a lot of templates you can buy online that will make content creation easier. For example, there are spreadsheet templates, Notion templates, ClickUp templates, and PLR Content which leads me to…
If this is the first time you’ve heard about it, PLR stands for private label rights content. This means it is content written by other people that you can buy, make changes and make your own. So you already have newly created content for your audience in just a few minutes.
Using PLR Content is the shortcut you need to hit the publish button on your blogs and social media posts!
Lucky for you, I have my own spin of PLR Content called Content Kits! My Content Kits are different from other PLR Content because it is a whole content marketing system.
Each content kit includes 11 blog posts, 11 newsletters, 33 Pinterest pin templates (3 for each blog post), 11 social media post captions, 11 social media post graphic templates, and 11 Instagram story templates. It’s your content marketing system in a box!
Take a look at available Content Kits and grab what you need to so you can get clients through your content and build your authority as the expert you are!
