Helping small business owners, virtual assistants, and creative entrepreneurs grow their business.
Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a multi-passionate business and marketing coach.
I have a very unpopular opinion about growing your business.
I seriously can’t stand “hustle” culture.
I am all about being smart, strategic, and working hard. But to me, hustle implies that you are working non-stop, frazzled, and on track to burn out.
If you’re an introvert, I’m guessing you’re pretty tired of trying to implement what all the extroverted “experts” say are keys to growing your business. Studies show that 1 in 3 people are introverts. That means that 1 in 3 business owners are likely on the verge of burnout.
Friends, there’s a different way.
Welcome to the Introvertpreneur show! I know you are going to breathe a sigh of relief as you discover that being an introvert is your superpower, NOT your weakness.
This podcast is going to be everything you need to grow your business as an introvert when it comes to mindset, building your audience, connecting with clients, and so much more!
There are four marketing methods that work best for introverts. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be an expert at all four to be effective. My suggestion is to pick two that can complement one another. How do you decide which two to use? Find out how your audience connects best. Also, take some time to play around and use the methods you love.
Using these methods will allow you to gain brand recognition and grow an engaged audience.
The magic of Pinterest is that like Google, it is a search engine and because of this, there is an audience for every single niche, even the most specific ones. Pinterest is an ideal marketing method for service providers who are already creating content and just need to promote it more.
Pinterest is a genius strategy for introverts because it drives traffic to your website that was already looking for your content! Say good-bye to having to network in Facebook groups to find that next client!
Blogging is an excellent way to demonstrate that you are an expert in your niche. Some people worry that blogging is giving away too much information for free. But if you can start each post with a clear end goal in mind, you can direct your readers to take a specific action.
If you don’t love blogging, you can hire a writer to create consistent content for your website. If outsourcing is not in the budget, you can also purchase PLR (private label right) content. This is a finished blog post that you can take, tweak, and publish as your own. It’s great for when you run into writer’s block.
Blog posts can also be repurposed into social media captions or bundled with other blog posts to create a lead magnet!
For some introverts, email marketing can feel pushy and unnatural. But here’s the truth. If someone has opted into your email list, they have raised their hand to say “I’m interested! I’m listening!”. That’s not pushy-that’s an invitation.
Even if someone never purchases your services or products, hearing from you on a consistent basis keeps you top of mind for whatever value you offer. It could be that they refer someone to you, or that a year later, they do need your services. When it comes to email marketing, consistency is key, even if that’s only emailing two times a month.
I’m going to let you off the hook here. Don’t worry about IG Stories, Reels, or Facebook lives.
But when you do show up on social media, you need to focus on engagement. Not your thing? Hire someone who can capture your voice and engage on your behalf. Another strategy to stay consistent is to use a timer. This will force you to stop overanalyzing your comments and be more productive.
The other key to being effective with social media is creating your own content. Focus on creating content that is valuable and authentic. And don’t forget to include client testimonials.
Feeling a little more confident about marketing your business now? I thought so. So which two methods sound like the best fit for you?
