Helping small business owners, virtual assistants, and creative entrepreneurs grow their business.
Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a multi-passionate business and marketing coach.
When you become a service provider, it’s important that your content marketing strategies are effective. Blogging is one such strategy for generating organic traffic and bringing in new client leads on autopilot – but so many service providers aren’t utilizing blogging as their method of choice! The pros definitely outweigh the cons, though. If writing blog posts sounds time-consuming or too hard, I get it. However, all this work pays off with increased visibility via search engines which means more web visitors coming directly toward YOUR site (and conversions).
As a service provider, one of our goals is to have clients reach out and want to work with us, right? Showcasing your knowledge and expertise is the best way to do that, and a long-form content method like blogging allows your dream clients to feel confident in their choice to reach out. Building the know, like, and trust factor is a process, and blogging with value-based content that is going to help your ideal clients will help you build that connection – without networking.
Blogging also helps attract the right type of clients. If you’re offering more high-end services and your goal is to attract 6 or 7-figure business owners, the type of content you create will help with that.
Email marketing is a powerful marketing method and another one that you own, not like social media. Using your blog content to also grow your email list is an added benefit of blogging regularly. Combining blogging with email marketing and Pinterest is like the organic trifecta of a powerful content marketing strategy!

Content is king, but who has time to create all of the content we need to create on a weekly or monthly basis? The secret to a solid content marketing strategy is two things – content repurposing and content batching. The nice thing about blogging is that you don’t have to write and publish a new post every week. Just a couple per month is enough, especially if it’s quality long-form content.
Blogging is also the best method for content repurposing. You can easily take 1 blog post and turn it into dozens of pieces of content for other channels, such as social media posts, email newsletters, or even eventually, new blog round-up style posts.
Check out my content repurposing workshop, where I take 1 blog post and turn it into 30+ pieces of content.
With paid ads and PR, who doesn’t love free opportunities to market their business? Unless you are hiring a blog writer to write your posts, there is zero money investment in blogging. There is, of course, a time investment, but that’s true for any marketing method – paid or organic.
I always talk about SEO and driving organic traffic from search engines to your website as the best method for introverts, especially to get new clients. It is a long-term strategy but one that is so beneficial.
Here’s an example of the power of content marketing and SEO:
Let’s say you are a new copywriter, and you are constantly engaging on Instagram, sending cold pitches, and scouring Facebook groups for new clients. That sounds exhausting, right? Now, let’s imagine you start spending your time optimizing your website and creating blog posts.
Within a few months, you have a constant flow of leads filling out your contact form or booking a discovery call. These leads are ready to work with you because they found your website by searching keyword phrases like:
