Helping small business owners, virtual assistants, and creative entrepreneurs grow their business.
Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a multi-passionate business and marketing coach.
Attending in-person events and business conferences can feel a bit daunting, especially for introverts like me. However, as we head into 2025, I’m determined to attend more business conferences and retreats. These events are incredible opportunities to connect, learn, and grow, even if they challenge our natural instincts to avoid big gatherings.
This year, there are several business conferences and retreats specifically tailored for entrepreneurs that have caught my eye. Whether you’re looking to network, dive deep into workshops, or simply get inspired, there’s something for everyone on this list. Let’s explore the top in-person entrepreneurial events happening in 2025 and why they might be worth adding to your calendar!
The Creative Educator Conference is a premier event designed specifically for course creators, coaches, consultants, and speakers aiming to elevate their educational offerings.
Hosted by Laylee Emadi, this business conference stands out with its hands-on, action-based learning format, providing a fresh alternative to traditional sit-and-listen events. With only 100 attendees, participants can enjoy a personalized and intimate experience, including direct interactions with industry experts.
The agenda includes workshops and sessions focused on crafting impactful and profitable educational content, perfecting your pitch, and creating marketing strategies that convert. The speaker lineup is equally impressive, featuring Natasha Pierre, Danait Berhe, and Ashlyn Carter, all of whom bring valuable expertise. If you’re looking for an event that offers both deep learning and a supportive atmosphere to connect with like-minded professionals, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Alt Summit has been on my radar for a while, and it’s easy to see why. This conference is a must for creative women entrepreneurs and content creators who want to connect, learn, and grow in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Held at the beautiful Renaissance Hotel in sunny Palm Springs, it’s the perfect setting for a mix of business, creativity, and a bit of California sunshine.
The 2025 event is packed with incredible keynotes, workshops, and panels designed to help you build your brand, business, and community. Plus, it’s an amazing chance to network with like-minded women who truly understand the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
If you’re considering attending, early-bird tickets are $745, but prices go up to $945 after January 6 — so now’s the time to grab your spot!
The Build Your Brave Retreat is all about stepping into your power and leaving your fears behind, and it’s happening in one of the most stunning locations — Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos, B.C. Hosted by Susie Helland, this two-day event is packed with inspiration, connection, and personal growth.
With a lineup of incredible speakers like Dr. Jody Carrington, Breanne Allarie, and Courtney Thomas, you’ll dive into workshops and sessions designed to help you let go of what’s holding you back and start living as your most authentic self. This retreat isn’t just about learning — it’s about transformation.
Plus, the intimate setting and focus on community make it a perfect fit for those of us who crave meaningful connections. If you’ve been looking for a chance to recharge, refocus, and really go after your goals, this might just be it.
I’m incredibly excited about this one! Lisa Johnson, a business strategist I greatly admire, is hosting a transformative retreat in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. This exclusive event is designed for entrepreneurs ready to step away from the daily grind and focus on strategic growth in an inspiring environment.
Over two and a half days, attendees will engage in immersive sessions aimed at gaining clarity and actionable steps for their businesses. The retreat promises a blend of insightful workshops, networking with like-minded entrepreneurs, and the unique energy that only L.A. can offer. Given my admiration for Lisa’s work and the retreat’s focus on actionable business strategies, this event is high on my list for 2025.
Hosted by Lindsay Dollinger, a previous guest on my podcast, Purpose, Profits, and Pixie Dust Live is a two-day event designed for women entrepreneurs ready to elevate their businesses. Taking place in Springfield, Ohio, this conference offers a blend of curated speakers, hands-on workshops, and dynamic networking opportunities.
The event covers a range of topics, including mindset and visioning, social media strategies, building community, confidence on camera, and lead generation. A highlight of the weekend is a themed pajama networking party on the first night, adding a fun twist to the professional development experience. Given my connection with Lindsay and the comprehensive agenda, this event is a strong contender for my 2025 schedule.
Craft + Commerce is a premier conference designed for creators like us — bloggers, vloggers, podcasters, and entrepreneurs — looking to elevate our online businesses. Hosted by Kit, this event offers a blend of inspiring keynotes, intimate workshops, and networking opportunities tailored to help us achieve our goals.
The conference features short, impactful main stage talks from a diverse group of successful online creators who share their experiences and insights. In addition, small group workshops led by experts provide practical tips and tactics that we can implement immediately. The event also includes parties and meetups, offering ample time to connect with like-minded individuals in a vibrant and supportive community.
Given its focus on actionable strategies and community building, Craft + Commerce is a compelling option for those of us aiming to grow our online presence and business in 2025.
Create & Cultivate is one of the most well-known conferences for women entrepreneurs, and it’s designed to inspire and empower ambitious women to build the careers they’ve always dreamed of. The 2025 festival promises to be a big one, bringing together over 2,000 attendees — including CEOs, founders, content creators, and executives — for two packed days of learning, networking, and inspiration.
While the speaker lineup and workshop opportunities are incredible, this event might feel a bit overwhelming for those of us who prefer smaller, more intimate settings (like me!). That said, if you’re looking to make big connections and soak up wisdom from some amazing industry leaders, Create & Cultivate could be a great fit for you. It’s still on my radar, and I’m weighing whether this larger-scale event might be worth stepping a little outside my comfort zone!
The Females on Fire Conference is a dynamic two-day event designed to ignite passion and purpose among women entrepreneurs. Hosted by Hayley Luckadoo, this conference offers a blend of business strategies and personal growth sessions, aiming to empower attendees to elevate their ventures and personal lives.
Set in the vibrant city of Nashville at the historic Woolworth Theater, the event features a lineup of inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities with like-minded women. The conference focuses on providing actionable insights and fostering genuine connections, making it a valuable experience for those looking to grow both professionally and personally.
Given its emphasis on community and empowerment, the Females on Fire Conference is a compelling option for those seeking inspiration and practical advice in 2025.
The Honest Retreat is an intimate, high-end experience designed for women entrepreneurs seeking focused and intentional growth in both their personal lives and businesses. Set in the picturesque town of Elora, Ontario, this retreat offers a luxurious setting without the need for long-distance travel — a significant advantage for those of us based in Ontario.
Over three days and two nights, attendees will engage in transformative sessions, including workshops led by industry leaders, meditative yoga classes, and mastermind pajama sessions. The retreat also provides new headshots, curated swag bags, and post-retreat accountability check-ins to ensure continued progress toward your goals.
However, it’s important to note that accommodations are shared, with attendees expected to share a room — and in some cases, a bed — with another participant. For those who value personal space and privacy, especially at this investment level, this aspect might be a consideration. Given the communal living arrangements, it’s essential to assess your comfort level with this setup before committing to the retreat.
The Powerhouse Women Event is all about helping women turn their big ideas into reality, and it truly looks like an incredible experience. Held in the gorgeous setting of Scottsdale, Arizona, it features inspiring speakers, actionable takeaways, and opportunities to connect with like-minded women.
While the event itself is high on my list for its energy and impact, the combination of flight costs from Toronto and the limited experience of a one-day ticket make it less practical for me this year. For anyone local or planning to invest in a full-access ticket, it could be an amazing opportunity. But for a one-day trip, I’ll likely pass this time around.
The Thriving Women’s Conference is a dynamic event designed for women with big goals seeking deep growth, real friendships, and a lot of fun. Hosted by Lisa Hansen, this conference offers action-driven success strategies, opportunities to build meaningful connections, and rejuvenating experiences to empower attendees in both their personal and professional lives.
The conference agenda includes powerful main stage speakers, interactive workshops, and engaging activities aimed at providing clarity, confidence, and the skills needed to achieve success. With a focus on community, attendees can expect to make real friends who understand and support their ambitions. The event also emphasizes fun, with surprises, delicious food, gifts, and music to create a memorable and uplifting experience.
While the conference itself is incredibly appealing, the additional travel costs from Toronto for a one-day event make it a less practical option for me this year. However, for those closer to Raleigh or willing to invest in the travel, it promises to be a transformative experience worth considering.
The Spark Conference, hosted by Showit, is a premier event tailored for brand and web designers eager to elevate their businesses. This conference seamlessly blends creativity and community, offering attendees the opportunity to develop innovative design ideas and build a supportive network of like-minded professionals.
While specific details for the 2025 event are yet to be announced, previous conferences have featured a mix of inspiring keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, and ample networking opportunities. The event is designed to provide actionable insights and foster connections that can propel your design business forward.
Given that I regretted missing last year’s event, attending Spark 2025 is a top priority for me. The chance to immerse myself in a community of passionate designers and gain fresh perspectives is an opportunity I don’t want to miss again.
The Mindful Business Retreat is truly something special — it’s all about stepping away from the daily grind and reconnecting with your purpose in a peaceful, inspiring setting. Hosted by Andréa Jones, this retreat blends meaningful conversations, strategic planning, and restorative activities, all while being completely pampered in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake.
I attended this retreat back in 2023 (it wasn’t held in 2024), and I can honestly say it was one of the most impactful experiences I’ve had as a business owner. From the cozy accommodations at 124 on Queen to the delicious food and thoughtfully planned sessions, everything felt like it was designed to help you feel recharged and refocused.
Since it’s just a four-hour drive for me, I’m seriously considering bringing my husband along for the trip — not for the retreat itself, but so we can enjoy the travel together while I dive into this transformative experience. Of course, we’ll need to arrange a dog sitter to stay at our home, but it’s completely worth it for what this retreat offers.
This event is definitely one of my top priorities for 2025, and if you’re looking for a space to strategize, recharge, and connect with other mindful entrepreneurs, I can’t recommend it enough.
The Chic Retreat in Malibu is all about empowerment, clarity, and connection — all wrapped up in a luxurious weekend by the ocean. Hosted by Amy Nicole Cohen, this retreat combines workshops, inspiring sessions, and downtime on the breathtaking Malibu coastline. It’s designed for women who want to reconnect with their vision, all while soaking up the California sun.
The retreat takes place at the gorgeous Hotel June Malibu, known for its stylish and relaxed vibe. While the $895 ticket includes all meals and activities, accommodations aren’t provided, giving you the option to customize your stay to fit your preferences.
As much as I love the idea of spending a weekend in Malibu surrounded by inspiring women, this falls on the same weekend as the Mindful Business Retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake — a more local event that holds a special place in my heart. For now, I’ll keep the Chic Retreat on my radar for a future year. If you’re nearby or looking for a warm-weather escape with a focus on growth and connection, this could be the perfect fit for you!
Impact Weekend 2025 is a three-day event designed for women of faith in business who are ready to refine their message, grow their brand, and elevate their income. Hosted by Maya Elious, this event is all about providing clarity and actionable strategies to help you overcome roadblocks like imposter syndrome, overwhelm, and unclear messaging, so you can fully step into your purpose.
With workshops and sessions covering everything from crafting irresistible offers to creating streamlined systems, this event is a game-changer for entrepreneurs who want to build a thriving, impactful business. Plus, the VIP option offers exclusive perks like private sessions and additional support to take your experience even further.
The Success Tribe Spring 2025 Summit is a dynamic one-day event designed to empower entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey. Hosted in Staten Island, New York, this summit focuses on providing actionable resources, high-value networking, and fresh perspectives from industry leaders in marketing, operations, and wealth management.
The agenda includes power talks, panel discussions, and a pitch contest with a cash prize, all aimed at equipping attendees with the tools and connections needed to elevate their businesses. An awards luncheon will celebrate outstanding business changemakers making a global impact within the Staten Island community.
While the event promises immense value, attending a one-day summit in New York involves significant travel from Toronto, making it less practical for me this year. However, for those in the vicinity or willing to make the trip, it offers a concentrated dose of inspiration and practical strategies to drive business growth.
Move to Millions Live is all about helping high-achieving entrepreneurs scale their businesses to seven figures in a sustainable, stress-free way. Hosted by Dr. Darnyelle Jervey Harmon, this three-day event is packed with actionable strategies to align your mindset, optimize your systems, and increase profitability—all while letting go of the hustle mentality.
The event includes sessions on dismantling money blocks, tightening core systems, and implementing strategies to create sustainable, long-term growth. For those opting for the VIP experience, there’s an additional bonus day on May 20, along with a welcome reception to connect with other entrepreneurs on the same journey.
This event is definitely on my shortlist for 2025, but I’m holding off on committing until the location is announced. The lack of this key detail makes it a bit tricky to plan, especially with travel from Toronto. If the logistics work out, Move to Millions Live could be a pivotal investment for the year!
The Women in Business Retreat in Bali is a luxurious 4-day, 3-night experience designed for female entrepreneurs seeking to rejuvenate, refocus, and elevate their businesses. Hosted by Angela Henderson, this retreat offers a harmonious blend of strategy sessions, wellness activities, and relaxation, all set in the serene environment of Bali.
Participants will benefit from direct access to Angela, engaging workshops, mastermind sessions, and luxury experiences such as spa treatments and cultural ceremonies. The retreat also provides beautiful accommodations and delicious meals, fostering a supportive community of like-minded women in business.
While Bali is undoubtedly on my bucket list, traveling outside of Canada and the US isn’t likely on my agenda for 2025. However, for those ready to invest in a transformative experience, this intimate retreat could be the perfect opportunity to pause, reset, and transform both personally and professionally.
The Reach Retreat is a luxury experience designed for female entrepreneurs who desire to create impact through their life and business. Hosted by Danielle Throckmorton, this all-inclusive retreat offers a transformative journey where connection, rejuvenation, and intentional growth come together.
Set on a stunning 12,000-acre nature reserve in Belize, the retreat spans six days and five nights, providing a picturesque setting for taking massive intentional action and preparing for growth. Attendees will enjoy luxury accommodations, wellness experiences including meditation, yoga, breathwork, and sound baths, as well as opportunities to connect and build community with like-minded women.
While attending this retreat would be a dream come true, traveling to Belize may not align with my plans for 2025. However, for those ready to invest in a transformative experience, the Reach Retreat offers unparalleled support and resources to elevate both life and business.
The Limitless Women Business Conference is a transformative event designed for women entrepreneurs who are passionate about using their businesses as a force for good. Founded by serial entrepreneur Laura Gisborne, the conference focuses on connection, growth, community, and fun, providing a supportive environment where female business owners can thrive.
Over the course of three days, attendees will engage in training, networking, and mastermind sessions led by world-class speakers. The agenda includes opportunities to learn new strategies, develop systems for success, and celebrate achievements at the Limitless Women Awards Luncheon. Set in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, known as the Live Music Capital of the World, the conference promises a memorable experience that combines professional development with relaxation and enjoyment.
For those ready to immerse themselves in a community of inspiring women and gain actionable insights for their businesses, the Limitless Women Business Conference 2025 could be a significant opportunity for growth and connection.
